JAPAN, MEXICO, & VENICE PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS - SPRING 2009 Have you ever been interested in photographing in another country? If so, professional photographers Mark Hemmings and James Wilson are offering three upcoming photography tours to the beautiful San Miguel, Mexico, the mysterious and dynamic cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nagano, Japan, and the incredibly photogenic city of Venice, Italy. These three trips will be the 10th, 11th, & 12th international photo tours by Mark Hemmings and James Wilson. Mark has a tremendous amount of experience photographing in Japan, and James is a regular to the artististic cities of San Miguel and Venice. Please click on the above photos for more information on the tours. All three trips will be a feast for the eyes, and we welcome you along! Some highlights of the San Miguel, Mexico photography tour: Nature photography of the Monarch Butterflies. This is where they live during the cold months in Canada and America. Landscape photography of the beautiful Colonial city of San Miguel, taken from aerial mountain viewpoints. People photography in the streets of San Miguel. You will see samples of these on the Mexico homepage. Architecture photography of the pastel colored walls and doorways along the cobble stoned neighborhoods, and the sparseness of an old ghost town! Some highlights of the Japan photography tour: Nature photography of the famous Japanese Snow Monkeys in Nagano. Landscape photography of the fascinating temples and shrines of Kyoto. People photography in the streets of Tokyo, plus some fleeting glimpses (hopefully) of Geisha in Kyoto. Architecture photography of the best in Tokyo's modern architecture, as well as exteriors and interiors of Buddhist Temples and Shinto Shrines. Some highlights of the Venice photography tour: During these days of exploration we will walk the back streets of Venice, take our time making photos and visit most of the islands. We will cruise the Main Canal, Venice’s “Main Street” and visit the white domed Santa Maria Della Salute baroque church and the Galleria dell’ Academia, considered the city’s greatest art gallery. We will visit the famous glass blowers of Murano Island dating back to 1221. We will stroll through the lively open air food stalls of the bustling Rialto Market area, make photographs, drink wine and eat cicheti (snacks) at the local bacari (wine bars), or have a cappuccino in one of the many cafes. There will be optional gondola boat rides, full day excursion to Padova (cultural center of Veneto and good shopping) and art gallery visits. In order to provide the most attention to our participants, we will be limiting the number of spaces available for these trips. With two professionals on each trip, you can be assured a high student/tour leader ratio. Our previous tours have always been full, so if you want to be included in our trips, it would be wise to register with us soon. Please contact us with any questions; our contact information can be found in the respective photo tour web pages (click on one of the above photos). Sincerely, Mark Hemmings & James Wilson |
