GEIST - A stop-motion photo animation film by Mark Hemmings, was created using thousands of individual still photographs taken with a Nikon camera. The photographs were digitally imported into a film editing program, and placed on a movie timeline. Geist was created December 2004, and was written, directed, scored, and filmed by Mark Hemmings.

TALA - A web film for the band of the same name, is a still-photo animation supporting the music of the Indian Sitar. The animated film techniques used in this project were the same as those used for Geist. Tala's website is www.tala.ca. This film was written, directed, and filmed by Mark Hemmings.
